Program Kuliah Malam pada Program Kuliah Karyawan Universitas Mercu Buana Jakarta bertujuan untuk memberikan kesempatan kepada masyarakat yang tidak mempunyai waktu luang mengikuti pendidikan hari hari kerja. Jenjang pendidikan yang diselenggarakan adalah Program Sarjana (S1), Pascasarjana (S2) dan Pendidikan Profesi Akuntansi (PPAK).

Waktu kuliah dapat dipilih Kuliah Malam atau Sabtu (Jam 14.00-20.00 WIB) dan Minggu (Jam 09.00-18.00 WIB). Biaya studi sangat terjangkau dan dapat diangsur sesuai kemampuan. Kampus dapat dipilih yaitu Kampus Meruya atau Kampus Menteng. Mahasiswa disediakan Bus Kampus antar Jemput untuk Bekasi, Tangerang dan Depok

Kita senasib, oleh karena itu saya coba jawab ya.

1. WUR akan tetap mengirimkan via e-mail maupun pos. Untuk pos kira-kira 3 minggu setelah e-mail penerimaan. Setelah menerima e-mail penerimaan saya bertanya melalui e-mail kepada pihak WUR apakah surat penerimaan ini akan dikirim melalui pos, dan mereka bilang akan tetap mengirimkannya.

2. Untuk mendapatkan application form ABF terlebih dahulu kita harus diterima di WUR, atau untuk lebih jelasnya bisa langsung di e-mail saja ke AnnevandenBan.Fonds@wur.nl, karena setelah meng-email biasanya mereka akan mengirimkan application formnya. Saya sudah bertanya kepada kakak kelas yang mendapatkan beasiswa ini katanya seleksinya hanya dari application form dan cv yang dikirimkan ke e-mail diatas. Deadline untuk beasiswa ini 15 April dan kuotanya dari pihak ABF sendiri tidak dapat memastikan, mereka bilang dari 100 pelamar kurang lebih 5 orang yang diterima.

Ph.D. POSITION, Plant Production Systems in "JARAK: the commoditization of an alternative biofuel crop in Indonesia" at the Plant Production Systems Group and Agrosystems Research Department of Plant Research International, part of Wageningen University and Research Centre, the Netherlands in cooperation with the Research Center for Natural Resources and Biotechnology (IPB), Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia.

Title PhD Project:
Growth, development and production of Jatropha curcas in Indonesia.

Description

Although heavily promoted for its many advantageous properties, there is little scientifically-sound information available on the growth, development and production of the Jatropha curcas under different environmental circumstances and in different production systems. As it is essentially a wild species lacking clearly distinguished varieties, the use of different jatropha accessions gives a wide variety of growth and development patterns, leading to unpredictable growth and yields, and sometimes unwanted situations. This is caused by the complex interactions between Genotype (G) x Environment (E) x Management (M), which must be unraveled to fully understand the production potentials in order to understand the true value and applicability of jatropha in different production systems. The different environmental and socio-economic settings determine the (design of) optimal production systems for jatropha, and govern the efficiency of resource use
(radiation, water, soil fertility). The aims of this PhD research are the acquirement of those plant parameters that describe growth and development patterns of jatropha production systems in Indonesia and to optimize seed yield per unit of land and/or unit of labour in specific production systems.

Starting date: ASAP after recruitment latest 1st August 2010.

Background
This is a PhD position in the program "JARAK: the commoditization of an alternative biofuel crop in Indonesia". The program comprises research on policy, legislation, technical crop qualities and production possibilities, and socio-economic impact of Jatropha cultivation in Indonesia and is part of a broader research program funded by NWO and KNAW on "Agriculture beyond Food". The program includes 6 projects carried out by four PhD researchers and two Post-Doc researchers from Indonesia and the Netherlands. JARAK is an interdisciplinary research program of 5 Dutch academic institutes with their Indonesian partner institutes. Three other PhD researchers in the JARAK program are based at Leiden University (Van Vollenhoven Institute, Law Faculty, and the Institute of Cultural Anthropology , Social Science Faculty) and at Universitas Gadjah Mada in Yogyakarta.
Tasks
• To engage in supervised scientific research that will ultimately result in a doctoral thesis;
• To carry out a systematic literature analysis related to the relevant PhD;
• To conduct field research in Indonesia;
• To prepare and submit research output for publication in peer-reviewed international scientific journals;
• To participate in the C.T. de Wit Graduate school in Wageningen.

Requirements
• Master degree in plant sciences, with demonstrated interest in statistics, agro-climatics;
• Excellent writing and presentation skills in English (minimal score see below);
• Demonstrated research experience
• Ability and willingness to carry out field research for extended periods in Indonesia;
• Willingness to stay in the Netherlands for desk study and writing.
• Openness towards interdisciplinary research methods and approaches;
• Ability to work in a team.
• Full time availability for four years because the thesis should be finished and defended at the end of the cluster period December 2014.
• Indonesian nationality

Appointment
The successful applicant will be awarded a research fellowship under NUFFIC conditions for 4 years, with continuation dependent upon an evaluation after 12 months The fellowship consists of a 6 month period in Wageningen at the start of the project, followed by an extended period of field work and a final period to write papers and submit the thesis in Wageningen. Details of the stipend and terms of the fellowship can be obtained on demand.

Scores needed to prove Excellent English writing and presentation skills:
IELTS: 6.5 , with a minimum of 6.0 for each (academic) module.
TOEFL: 580 points for the written TOEFL, 237 points for the computer based TOEFL and 92-93 points for the Internet based TOEFL. All are to be supplemented by results of the Test of Written English (academic TWE). The minimum score required for this test is 5.0
Submitted test results must be dated within 24 months prior to an application to the PhD Programme.

The DAAD supports these selected programs with a certain quota of scholarships and with financial assistance for a special tutoring system. At the end of the course (programs run 12 to 36 months, depending on the particular institution) participants can obtain an internationally recognized Master's or in some courses PhD degree.

Important Notes (PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING)

Important Notes (PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING)
1. You may apply only two study programs offered by this scholarship program. Prior to the application you are strongly recommended to visit the website of the study programs of your choice.
If you find information about GPA, TOEFL, application deadline, etc. that do not match the DAAD pre-requisites, you must fulfill the pre-requisites from the study program.
2. All papers must be submitted in triplicate (1 original, 2 copies). Applications, which do not clearly specify the desired degree course, or those that are not complete in all respects, cannot be processed,
and will not be considered.

Stockholm University School of Business welcomes applications to the Doctoral Programme in Business Administration and for full-time positions as Doctoral Researcher in Accounting, Finance, Management and Marketing beginning September 1, 2010.

Admission requirements

Applicants must either have completed a master's degree, or completed at least 240 ECTS (incl. at least 60 ECTS at master's level), or acquired the equivalent knowledge through academic studies in Sweden or abroad. Applicants must also have completed at least 90 ECTS in business administration, incl. a master's dissertation of at least 15 ECTS.

Selection criteria

Selection is made on the basis of
(i) documented knowledge in a relevant subject area,
(ii) English language skills (written and spoken), and
(iii) analytical, critical and creative thinking skills. We pay particular attention to the quality of your research proposal, your academic merits, and your academic references. Short-listed candidates are called to an interview.

Dalam rangka meningkatkan kapasitas serta mutu penelitian, Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Indonesia memberikan kesempatan pada tahun ajaran 2010/11 untuk mendapatkan beasiswa mengikuti program studi pascasarjana jenjang S2 (Magister Ilmu Komputer) dan S3 (Doktor Ilmu Komputer) sebagai Research Assistant (asisten peneliti).

Ketentuannya adalah sebagai berikut:

  • Calon penerima beasiswa harus mengikuti prosedur untuk diterima sebagai mahasiswa S2 (MIK) atau S3 (DIK) sesuai aturan yang berlaku di Universitas Indonesia (SIMAK UI).
  • Calon penerima beasiswa harus memiliki gelar Sarjana (untuk program S2 MIK) atau Magister (untuk program S3 DIK) dari institusi akademik berreputasi unggul di bidang ilmu komputer, informatika, elektro, matematika, atau ilmu komputasional lainnya, dengan IPK minimal 3.00. Lulusan Sarjana dengan prestasi cemerlang dan IPK minimal 3.50 juga dapat langsung mendaftar ke program S3 DIK.
  • Penerima beasiswa akan mendapatkan pembebasan dari pembayaran biaya DP (semester 1: untuk MIK sebesar Rp 6 juta, untuk DIK sebesar Rp 10 juta) dan BOP (tiap semester: untuk MIK sebesar Rp 8.5 juta, untuk DIK sebesar Rp 12.5 juta). Selain itu, penerima beasiswa juga akan mendapatkan tunjangan hidup bulanan sebesar Rp 1.5 juta/bulan (S2) atau Rp 2 juta/bulan (S3). Untuk mahasiswa MIK, dukungan ini diberikan selama 3 (tiga) semester, sedangkan untuk mahasiswa DIK, dukungan ini diberikan selama 6 (enam) semester.
  • Selain menempuh studi pascasarjana, penerima beasiswa akan dikontrak untuk bekerja sebagai Research Assistant dengan beban kerja paruh waktu, di mana penerima beasiswa harus mendukung kegiatan penelitian di salah satu dari 8 lab riset di Fakultas Ilmu Komputer UI, yaitu:
  1. Computational Intelligence, Pattern Recognition & Image Processing
  2. Computer Networks, Architecture & High Performance Computing
  3. Digital Libraries & Distance Learning
  4. E-Government
  5. Enterprise Computing
  6. Formal Methods in Software Engineering
  7. IT Governance
  8. Information Retrieval
  • Penerima beasiswa harus menghasilkan minimal 1 (satu) publikasi jurnal internasional berdasarkan kegiatan riset yang dilakukan.
  • Penerima beasiswa tidak memiliki komitmen kerja di luar Fakultas Ilmu Komputer UI selama menerima dukungan beasiswa.
  • Setelah kelulusan, penerima beasiswa bersedia untuk bekerja di Fakultas Ilmu Komputer UI untuk jangka waktu minimal selama durasi menerima beasiswa.

The European Master's Program in Computational Logic

We are glad to offer you the possibility to join our European Master Program of Computational Logic (EMCL). This program carries the Erasmus Mundus brand name and is offered jointly at the Free-University of Bozen-Bolzano (FUB) in Italy, the Technische Universität Dresden (TUD) in Germany, the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (UNL) in Portugal and the Technische Universität Wien (TUW) in Austria. Starting in the first semester at TUD,  moving in the second semeser to FUB and choosing a partner university in the second year,  you have the choice to study at up to three leading European universities. Furthermore, we have teamed up with the National ICT Australia (NICTA), which gives you the possibility to work on a project at one of the world's leading research centers. You will graduate with a joint MSc in Computer Science from the European universities, at which you have studied. Researcher Position, Environmental Microbial Systems, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore

A Researcher position (at postdoctoral or post master level) is available in Environmental Microbial Systems Group, School of Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. The research will focus on the development of an anaerobic bioprocess converting organic wastes / bioproducts to bioenergy and other valuable products. In parallel with designing and operating novel reactor systems, temporal dynamics of key microbial groups involved in the system will be studied. Efforts to describe correlations between microbial shifts, operating factors, and process performance, will be made employing a combination of molecular and statistical tools.

The successful applicant will be invited to contribute to several different research works in our group. Self motivated and team oriented individuals interested in environmental bioprocess engineering and microbiology/biotechnology are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a full command of oral and written English and significant experience conducting scientific experiments. Candidates with expertise in anaerobic bioprocess engineering (i.e., set up, operation, and monitoring of anaerobic bioreactors) and/or in molecular/microbiological techniques will be given preference. Experience in interdisciplinary working environments is a plus. A PhD or Master degree in environmental engineering, microbiology or a closely related field is desirable.

The incumbent is expected to play a significant role in writing academic papers, project proposals, and technical reports. The initial appointment is for one year and will be renewable depending on funding availability and performance. Salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience. Medical benefits and one month bonus (on the basis of performance) will also be provided. Special support for attending oversea conferences is also available. University's standard salary scale applies.

NTU is a major research intensive university in Singapore, and is highly recognized for its excellence in science and engineering. It is highly ranked in many international comparisons of higher education.

Rekans, di tengah mengikuti hangatnya diskusi dan provokasi utk maen bola (jujur, saya sempat terprovokasi utk ikut maen), saya mendapatkan kabar yang tidak mengenakan dari tanah air. Semoga ini bisa menjadi pelajaran bagi kita semua untuk berhati-hati dan waspada. Begini ceritanya:

Jumat siang kemaren, tgl 26 Maret, menjelang waktu Shalat Jumat, Ibu saya yang tinggal di Solo di telepon orang  yang mengaku "saya", dan mengabarkan bahwa "saya" kecelakaan berat di Australia, tulang patah dan muntah darah terus. Parahnya, orang yang "saya" tabrak dalam kecelakaan itu -salah satunya orang Indonesia juga-, mati, keluarganya tidak terima (ceritanya selalu klasik seperti ini), dan menuntut ganti rugi, kalo tidak mereka akan membunuh "saya" yang sedang sekarat karena kecelakaan d Australia. Tanpa berniat menyalahkan Ibu saya, naluri seorang Ibu tentunya akan panik dan kehilangan akal mendengar anaknya mengalami kecelakaan parah dan terancam di bunuh. Ditambah lagi, bumbu cerita kalo "saya" kecelakaan dan tidak segera ditolong, berarti tidak bisa nerusin kuliah, beasiswa dicabut, dan "saya" terancam tamat karirnya. Ibu tentu semakin terpancing dan panik. Barangkali kaget dalam sepersekian detik itu, beliau terhipnotis. Ibu saya yang biasanya logis dan rasional mendadak linglung, bahkan Bapak saya tdk bisa mencegah tindakan Ibu saya yg tiba2 aneh. Menurut Ibu, orang yang mengaku "saya" itu, suara, logat dan ragam bicaranya mirip saya yg asli sehingga Ibu makin hilang kecurigaan bahwa ini upaya penipuan (barangkali ini bagian dari hipnotis, shg Ibu merasa suara orang itu mirip saya yg asli). Bahkan "saya" juga terus wanti2 kepada Ibu agar  tidak bilang kejadian k ttg kecelakaan "saya", alasannya agar Bapak yang baru pulang setelah beberapa minggu di rawat intensif di RS tidak shock dan drop lagi. Termasuk istri saya, kakak, adik, dan sodara2 lain, pembantu, sopir dan tetangga dan polisi tdk boleh d  hubungi. Dalihnya Polisi Indonesia percuma di hubungi, karena tdk akan bs membantu sy d luar negeri. Bahkan "saya" minta Ibu utk mencabut telepon rumah, dan membawa sekalian hp Bapak dan hp sopir sbg cadangan agar kalo drop, "saya" tetep bisa hubungi Ibu (si penjahat membuat spy Ibu saya tidak bisa dihubungi dan menghubungi keluarga, ato kelg lain tdk bisa menghubungi rumah dan sopir). Selanjutnya, "saya" meminta Ibu utk menyiapkan uang tunai Rp 300 juta, sbg upaya menyelamatkan nyawa "saya". Uang itu tidak boleh d transfer dan harus dibawa sendiri ke Jakarta saat itu juga. Bahkan di bank, "saya" terus mewanti wanti Ibu kalo di tanya orang bank utk apa mencairkan mendadak, bilang aja ada keperluan mendadak. Saat itu juga dari bank Ibu saya langsung ke bandara. D bandara solo semua penerbangan ke  Jkt full booked, terpaksa pindah ke Yogya. Sepanjang perjalanan Solo-Jogja, Ibu sempat curiga, tapi "saya" terus mewanti-wanti Ibu agar Ibu tetep "fokus". Ibu saya terus dibombardir kondisi "saya" yg terus memburuk, pendarahan tidak berhenti dan ancaman dari keluarga "korban" yg emosi pingin membunuh saya utk balas dendam kalo tidak segera dikasih duit. Awalnya Ibu yg sempat curiga karena nomor "saya" yg beda dari biasanya, di bombardir kalo memang telepon "saya" rusak dalam kecelakaan, shg nomor yg sedang dipake pinjeman dari teman "saya" yg saat ini mengamankan dan menyembunyikan "saya" dari ancaman keluarga korban. Sopir yg diminta hape nya oleh Ibu juga sempat bingung tp ga berani protes dan tanya lebih lanjut.

Menurut Ibu, sepanjang perjalanan beliau dipandu terus oleh "saya" dan temen "saya". Turun di Cengkareng, Ibu saya diperintahkan untuk menaruh uang kas yg dibungkus dalam mukena itu di semak-semak. Ibu saya sempat berpikir logis dan protes kepada "saya".  "Masak uang segini di taruh sembarangan, ntar ilang dong, mendingan saya langsung ketemuan aja ama keluarga korban buat serah terima dan omong baik2, saya sekalian minta tanda terimanya". Tapi sekali lagi dengan lihainya, "saya" berdalih Ibu harus menaruh uang itu di semak depan bandara, nanti teman "saya" dan keluarga korban yg akan urus, kalo tidak saya akan mati karena dibiarkan terus pendarahan. Begitulah akhirnya Ibu mengalah demi nyawa "saya" dan melempar uang itu di semak. Sesaat kemudian beliau baru sadar, dan dalam kondisi lemas, panik dan belum sepenuhnya sadar,  segera menelpon kakak dan istri saya yg ada d Jakarta. Sempat ikut panik, mereka langsung mengebel saya yg asli utk konfirmasi. Begitulah akhirnya kami semua baru sadar telah menjadi korban penipuan...

Dari cerita singkat Ibu saya (yg masih dlm kondisi panik dan lemah, tp sekaligus bersyukur krn saya yg asli tidak kecelakaan), saya bisa ambil beberapa kesimpulan awal :


1.       Pelaku tahu keluarga kami, karena tahu keberadaan saya d Australia dan menyebut banyak nama anggota keluarga kami dengan tepat.

2.       Timingnya sangat tepat dilakukan siang hari menjelang Jumatan, karena asumsinya jam segitu lagi ngantuk ngantuknya orang, dan sangat mudah di"kageti".

3.       Di tambah lagi saat Jumatan tentunya tidak ada laki-laki di rumah. Hal ini tentunya meminimalisasi upaya calon korban utk mencari second opinion, ato orang lain yang bisa menenangkan dan menyadarkan calon korban (biasanya laki-laki lebih tidak gampang panik, dan sempet berpikir jernih). Kondisinya memang waktu itu sopir kami sedang tidak ada d rumah utk Jumatan, adapun keberadaan Bapak sudah diantisipasi dengan mengeksploitasi kondisi sakit beliau.


Jadi demikian rekans, sekedar berbagai untuk pelajaran bagi kita semua, tolong juga cerita ini bisa disampaikan untuk keluarga yg di tanah air jangan gampang percaya kalo ada yg mengabarkan hal buruk ttg kita d sini, atau sebaliknya. Saran saya, kita bisa sharing nomor telepon d antara kita, paling tidak temen deket dan yg tinggal berdekatan dengan kita, kemudian kirim ke sanak sodara kita, demikian pula sebaliknya. Jadi kalo ada kabar yg aneh2, kita bisa cek n ricek, jangan keburu panik dan tidak bisa berpikir jernih.Kedua sering kontak secara rutin ke rumah utk mengabarkan kondisi kita. Terus terang memang beberapa hari terakhir ini saya hanya menyempatkan sekali sms Ibu saya tanpa menelpon beliau, krn saya lebih menyibukkan diri menyelesaikan tugas yg menyandera otak saya (Nico, 2010).


Mohon maaf kalo alur ceritanya amburadul karena saya juga blm mendapatkan cerita detailnya secara lengkap, yg penting intinya bisa ditangkap. Kurang lebihnya mohon maaf, terima kasih atas perhatiannya..
